Traditional craftsmanship with a pursuit of quality.

Vintage was born out of a love for old buildings and a passion for fine quality and traditional craftsmanship. Over the last 27 years, we have had the pleasure of completing over 50 major construction projects and hundreds of smaller historic preservation jobs. We particularly enjoy challenging and complex projects.  We seek out jobs with high levels of difficulty and detail.  We take what we have learned from working on historic buildings, and integrate this into everything that we do.

The success of old buildings owes largely to the quality of materials used, as well as the workmanship.  Design and thoughtful execution play a significant role.  We have a traditional millworking shop solely for the purpose of supporting our millwork needs.  While traditional, we also utilize modern methods.  Shapers, planers, a cnc; everything needed to support the field in manufacturing of moldings, windows, doors, cabinetry…everything!   

We serve homeowners, churches, museums, park authorities.  We specialize in pre-1940s construction, usually 18th and 19th century.  The materials and methods from these time periods have been our focus.  (Methods and materials changed dramatically after the 1940s.)  Quality craftsmanship and materials are at our core, central to every project. We use traditional materials, such as lime mortar, copper, stone, linseed oil paint, and soapstone.  Old quality can be replicated. ‘They don’t build them like they used to’ just isn’t true.  This is what we strive for everyday.
