Period Woodworking Company

Our shop, located on North Loudoun Street in Winchester, Virginia, restores antiques, makes custom furniture and cabinetry, and accepts commissions for all types of projects.  We have executed tables, islands, work stations, altars, altar rails, colonial basement access doors, pergolas, brackets – the list goes on – with the commonality being a desire to create beautiful and functional results.  Our team of craftsmen enjoy executing complex and detailed projects, and in addition to wood, incorporate marble, iron and brass hardware, copper, plaster, and faux finishing.  We do this work for churches, museums, private homes, and for the hospitality industry.  The more complex the project, the more we enjoy it!

We are starting a new line, based on traditional designs, where our first replica piece is a French wine table (images below). Our cabinetmakers will also be building traditional tables and oak stand-up desks.

Our team of experienced cabinetmakers have been selected to make the replica pieces for the Stone House Foundation in Stephens City. They have a beautiful blanket chest that is of a unique design; I have posted a picture below.
